Dr Malaka Badri is a Board-Certified Interventional Specialist with a clinical and academic practice focused on pain medicine and venous disease. Dr. Badri is a well-respected, nationally recognized specialist. She currently serves as the medical director for CURA Vein & Pain Centers. As a interventional pain and vein doctor, she specializes in minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Malaka Badri is a native of New Jersey state who is truly passionate about her patients. She obtained her Biomedical Engineering degree from the prestigious New Jersey Institute of Technology, followed by Medical Doctorate degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated with the highest honors and ranked as one of the best in her class. She completed Internal Medicine Internship at NY-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, followed by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the prestigious New York University Langone Medical Center where she was trained by the leaders of Interventional Medicine and won resident of the year award. She also founded Board Review Committee for younger physicians.
After residency, Dr. Malaka Badri joined Interventional Pain fellowship with North American Spine Society where she was trained for advanced spine procedures, including minimally invasive skeletal and vascular interventions. During her fellowship, Dr. Malaka Badri developed special interest in venous interventions due to overlap with lower extremity pain which provides her with a unique perspective for patient care. Dr. Badri has published many articles in peer reviewed journals and is frequently invited to give presentations about her expertise. Dr. Badri is a “sweet kind soul” as described by her patients.
